The ISRC Workshops will take  place on Thursday 1st November, 2018 at Queen\u2019s Hall, Port of Spain,  Trinidad and Friday 2nd November, 2018 at Shaw Park Complex in Tobago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshops are geared towards producers, record labels and recording artistes across Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<em>\u201cThis workshop will directly address International Standard \nRecording Codes. These codes are the universal identification numbering \ntools for sound and music video recordings. The Workshop will explain \nhow music industry practitioners can identify and track their music \nworldwide and how they can obtain and utilize these codes\u201d <\/em>explained Mrs Ayanna Belgrave-Lewis, Chief Executive Officer, COTT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nMrs. Belgrave-Lewis added, <em>\u201cWe are particularly pleased to have Mr \nEvon Mullings facilitate this session. I know that he will bring \npractical insights to the workshop participants.\u201d<\/em>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nEvon Mullings is currently the General Manager of the Jamaica Music \nSociety (JAMMS) which represents over 1,000 record producers in Jamaica.\n He has a wealth of information and over 15 years of rights collection. \nHis experience also includes serving on several boards including the \nRecording Industry Association of Jamaica; the Jamaica Reggae Industry \nAssociation and the National Library of Jamaica. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nInterested persons are invited to register for any of the Workshops on: \nThursday 1st November, 2018 | Queen\u2019s Hall, Port of Spain, Trinidad | \n9:00 a.m. \u2013 3:30 p.m. or Friday 2nd November, 2018 | Shaw Park Complex, \nTobago | 9:00 a.m. \u2013 3:30 p.m. \nWhile admission is free, participants must register by calling 624-COTT \nExt. 2002, 2005 or sending an email to membership@cott.org.tt\n<strong>ABOUT COTT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nCOTT is a non-government organisation that collects licence fees for \ncomposers, authors and publishers when musical works are publicly \nperformed, broadcasted or recorded in the public. These fees are then \ndistributed to the creators of the musical works and their publishers by\n way of royalties.
