The Copyright Music Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago will be \nrepresented at the NORCODE Regional Training Programme on Collective \nManagement of Copyright and Related Rights in the Digital Environment. \nThe conference will take place from November 19 to 23, 2018 in \nBridgetown, Barbados.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe training will provide attendees with an understanding of the role of\n collective management in small, developing countries; developing \nefficient licensing practices in the music industry and identifying \nopportunities and challenges in the digital market place. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe programme will host a total of 16 participants. Two participants \nfrom COTT applied and were selected – Mrs Ayanna Belgrave-Lewis, Chief \nExecutive Officer and Mr David Bereaux, Distribution and Documentation \nCoordinator. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to this as it appears to be a very intense \ncourse that will cover a lot of topics. The exposure to the Digital \naspect is an area that COTT needs to explore more. So I look forward to \nhearing about this,\u201d<\/em> said Mrs Belgrave-Lewis. Mr Bereaux expressed his area of interest, \u201cI\u2019d like to get guidance on the implementation of Neighboring Rights.\u201d <\/em>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the first of two conferences taking place in the Caribbean this month.
