1st - 5th Annual National Chutney Monarch won by COTT member Rikki Jai.
19th - Official name of COTT changed from The Copyright Music Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited to Copyright Music Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago. COTT continued under the 1995 Companies Act.
26th - 1999 Miss Universe Pageant one of the major entertainment events for the year was held at the Heliport in Chaguaramas and licensed by COTT.

Jason Benn, COTT's Membership Officer left COTT after 4 years of service to pursue studies abroad. David Bereaux assumes responsibilities for Membership as well as Mechanical Licensing.
