Getting the publicity you deserve
We all have our favourite performers: - Destra, Xtatik 5.0, 3 Canal or Roy Cape. At Carnival time in particular, we definitely begin to see loyalties divided as bands contend for the most popular spot. After Carnival is over though
what happens? Despite the many successes of many musicians and performing artists alike there is still the sentiment of "starving musicians" or "starving artists" running through our lives in a very real way.
It occurred to me that outside of the Carnival scene, just how popular or "well known" were the performers? I doubt that there is satisfaction with seasonal revenue since everyone lives beyond four months of each year! So what are performers to do?
Actually the very same things that companies need to do, which is to get to know their customers in your case, fans - VERY WELL! These are the people who will help spread the word about you, and give you great marketing ideas. They are the ones who like you, without you having to do any promotion - they like you for you! You never know if somewhere among your fans you'll find someone who will help you to acquire the notoriety you deserve!
