COTT Remembers Samuel 'Brigo' Abraham


The Board, Management and Staff of COTT wish to express deepest condolences to the family of Samuel ‘Brigo’ Abraham who passed away yesterday (May 16) at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope.

Brigo who began singing calypso in the 60’s, was a long standing member of COTT having joined the organisation in 1986, one year after COTT began operations.

Brigo's repertoire of eighty registered compositions includes calypsos like Limbo Break, Mama Popo, Do So Ent Like So, Careless Mother, Home Sweet Home, Lemme Go, Dotish Man, Voodoo Man, Obey, Walking in the Dark, Dig The Beat, Shake up Your Bum Bum, Long Ago, Love in the Party, Do Good and Live, Get Baptised, Old Bandit and Love and Comfort.

Brigo was renowned for his great theatrical performances which often times brought down the house at the Calypso Revue and other tents in which he performed over the years.

COTT remembers the life and work of Samuel ‘Brigo’ Abraham: July 1, 1940 – May 16, 2017. Rest in Peace.
