Music Licensing, Royalty Collection and Distribution
Seminar Synopsis
Target Group
If you are a COTT member, a potential member: Music/ Composer, Author/ Song Writer, Music Arranger, Music Publisher, Recording Artist etc, or a Business using music such as Hospitality, Retailer, Office/ Factory, Radio/ TV/ Internet, Cinema, Entertainment Venue, Concert Promoter etc. then this will be an opportunity for you to have your questions answered or your comments/ suggestions heard. Your contribution of questions, comments and suggestions are fundamental opportunities for COTT to improve its service.
International Standards
COTT's operating procedures are based on international standards practiced universally by all foreign copyright collecting agencies such as the method used to identify its songwriters and songs of the year. By hosting this panel discussion, COTT aims to create a glass house image with open doors to fabricate that climate of trust.
Service Quality
COTT deems that the success of its Organisation is contingent on the quality of service and treatment of its customers. Consequently, its goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of service to its members and customers. To achieve this milestone, it is imperative that COTT understands and meets the needs of its members to offer the highest possible service standards. This is only possible by building relationships.
COTT acknowledges that if there are no members, there is no COTT. If there are members and there is no COTT, non-copyright works would face all the problems arising from the exploitation of their works, alone. Hence, the urgent need for a symbiotic relationship.
Understanding Members' Needs
This Seminar is the first for 2004 geared towards creating awareness for potential members and providing information to COTT's members to best understand and satisfy their needs and wants.
COTT would like you to be participative in its series of events focused to create a simple, effective and efficient licensing and royalty collection procedure as they build an information centre for its members to progress in this competitive music industry, where technology is rapidly augmenting their quality of work but increasing their challenges.
